Deepti Bhatnagar

Deepti Bhatnagar is a well-known Indian model and a television artist. She pursued a brief but unsuccessful career in Hindi films. While regarded as beautiful, she only got to do a few unforgettable films, including a controversial English language film - Inferno.

She presently hosts YATRA, a religious travel guide television show and Musafir Hoon Yaaron, an around the world travel guide television show on STAR Plus. She has visited around 80 countries in the last 6 years for Musafir Hoon Yaaron.

Deepti was born on 30th September 1967 and did her college in Meerut University. She then moved to Mumbai in 1992 to identify a good ad agency to promote her handicrafts factory in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. While she was promoting her handicrafts she had opportunity to sign for an ad agency for modeling for the Roopmilan saris’ press ad and after that ad she signed 12 campaigns. She had given up her interest in running the handicraft factory and entered into the professional modelling world.

She won the Eves Weekly Miss India contest in 1990. Soon afterwards, she was modelling in Singapore for various international fashion shows. Though she entered thereafter into Bollywood with number of Hindi films but failed to achieve the star status.

She is best known for her beautiful black hair and appealing figure. Some of her better known films are Ram Shastra, Pelli Sandadi (in Telugu), Inferno (1997 film) and the Aamir Khan starrer Mann.

Deepti is still regarded as one of the most attractive female actors, who never made it big.
